biography
Born in Japan, Akito Mizutani began his career as a model in 2018,
working internationally with houses such as Louis Vuitton and GUCCI.
Through these experiences, he became deeply interested in the subtle ethics and
poetry that exist within the act of seeing and being seen.

Now based in Paris, he works as a photographer and a model.
His practice focuses on the quiet space between himself and his subjects on the breath, the pause,
the trace that lingers between presence and absence.
His imagery reflects a sensitivity rooted in Eastern philosophy and the understated elegance
of Japanese aesthetics.

Through fashion, portraiture, and personal projects, he continues to explore the delicate trace of
gaze that connects people and images.
He currently divides his time between Paris and Tokyo, preparing his exhibition and photo book.
